About Harold Spring

MY STORY

I was born, raised and lived in Western Canada my whole life.

I began my business career when I was 15.

The Royal Bank recruited me and I started my climb up the corporate ladder.

My corporate experience of all the pettiness, jealousy & backstabbing drove me out…I had enough.

I opened my first business…

It failed after only four years…that was a hard pill to swallow for myself and my wife…especially with 3 beautiful daughters counting on their Daddy.

But I didn’t give up…I had caught the entrepreneurial bug.

I found my way into Real Estate…Developing a subdivision in Langley.

Building and selling over 250 new homes…

In the 80’s I was schooled in Stamped Concrete, which was just getting introduced into North America

A Delta manufacturing plant head hunted me to establish a full line of Decorative Concrete Products.

I quickly established distributors all across Canada and expanded our operation into the USA.

But the entrepreneurial bug hit me again…

I moved to Kelowna and 2004 I opened a wholesale concrete products supply store called OCE.

We carried almost every manufacturer’s product at some point or another…

I was sickened at the lack of quality & lack of respect to the ultimate end user…the Home Owner.

I decided to create The Cement Store and did the complete opposite the entire industry was doing.

We focused on creating products that were awesome…and worked awesome.

I am proud to say that all my experiences…good and not so good have allowed me to continue to grow The Cement Store’s product line.

We now have over 14 of the best products on the globe…

Our systems are simple yet powerful…our products are incredible and designed for the Home Owner…
